Glendora

The Pride of the Foothills.

Glendora climbs from old Route 66 up into the San Gabriel foothills. The Village on Glendora Avenue is its original downtown.

The city calls itself the Pride of the Foothills, and the mountains are part of daily life here.

The honest take

The hillside homes are what people picture, but most of Glendora is flatter mid-century streets that make a solid first or second home. If you're looking at the hillside, ask about the fire-insurance picture early.

Schools

Mostly Glendora Unified. Some edges of the city are in Charter Oak, Bonita or Azusa Unified, so check the district for the exact address.

What should I know about hillside homes?

Ask about insurance, slope and access before you fall for the view. An agent who works the foothills can tell you what to check.
